A nationwide investment in marina developments is the strongest signal of the growth potential and future value of investment. A central government sponsored plan launched in 2010 for the development of 43 marinas, subsequently amended in 2015 and now covering 58 developments to be completed by 2019. Currently 33 new marinas are in operation, 7 are under construction and 1 is in the final planning phase. By 2029, there will be berths to accommodate just under 15,000 boats afloat with more than 4 times that for dry storage, a growing trend.
