Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries

The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF, Korean: 대한민국 해양수산부) is a cabinet-level division of the government of South Korea. It takes overall responsibilities for maritime and fisheries sectors in general, ranging from the promotion of maritime safety and security, the protection of the marine environment, development of Marinas, Harbours and Fishing Ports, the research and development on issues relating to the management and sustainable use of fishery resources and the promotion of marine leisure activities.
And by tapping into such promising resources, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) will create new job opportunities and take the lead in reinvigorating the national economy and Helping the Korean People to enjoy all the opportunities offered by maritime leisure.
MOF's Mission is "Find new values from the ocean & make the ocean a place for national happiness". Korea International Boat Show is one of the MOF's missions to enable this vision.
Gyeonggi Province

Gyeonggi-do (Hangul: 경기도, Korean pronunciation: [kjʌŋ.ɡi.do]) is the most populous province in South Korea. Its name, Gyeonggi means "the area surrounding the capital". Thus, Gyeonggi-do can be translated as "Province surrounding Seoul". The provincial capital of Gyeonggi-do is Suwon. Seoul is South Korea's largest city and national capital. It is in the heart of the Province but has been separately administered as a provincial-level special city since 1946. Incheon is South Korea's third largest city, is on the coast of the Province and has been similarly administered as a provincial-level metropolitan city since 1981. The three jurisdictions collectively cover 11,730 km2, with a combined population of 25.6 million amounting to over half of the entire population of South Korea.
Gyeonggi-do has supported the development of the Korea Marine Leisure Industry as Host of the Korea International Boat show since 2008. Gyeonggi Bay will form the hub of the best yachting and boating location with Jebu Marina adding another 300 berths to provide the largest and best equipped combined facilities in Korea. Gyeonggi-do continues to support the development of the Korea Marine Leisure Industry through a central government plan to construct 3 additional new marinas to provide a further 1,100 berths in Gyeonggi Bay.
We, organizers plan to provide an attractively well promoted event to deliver a first class experience to the exhibitors and to the public visitors.
